Crowd Control Guide

We live at a time when there are just so many events, so many crowds, so many mobs of people arising daily. It may be a concert, a congregation, a training seminar, a line at a movie, the list goes on.  When these things happen, crowd control becomes of utmost importance to the security personnel and the organizers. You wouldn’t want your crowd running amock would you? Being able to contro your crowd properly could spell success for your event or whatever occasion you are trying to organize.

There are several ways you can do to control the crowd:

Use stanchions

Stanchions are a kind of retractable belts whoch can be made of fabric strips that have belt clips at both ends. Inside the belt, the structure is pre-wound thereby producing a built-in locking mechanism. This would be perfect for huge parties, clubs,  movei theaters, etc.

Use velvet rope

Velvet ropes are also like stanchions but made of higher quality material, like velvet. This makes the event more classy and seeing the velvet rope alone already commands order and respect from the crowd. You can see these used at Awards shows, concerts, classy gatherings, etc. 

Use barricades

Barricades these days are commonly made of steel. They usually feature vinyl jackets and are increasingly becoming a regular sight at various events and venues all over the country. They are practical and easy to use and truly provide crowd control.

As organizers, you may use any of these three. They will prove to be very useful and helpful and you would most likely have a very successful event or party.

Discount Nurse Uniforms

I dreamt of nurses, doctors and discount medical uniforms last night. So I went online and searched for what this could mean. But before I could even try to decipher the meaning of my dreams, I was amazed at the variety of nursing uniforms and scrubs that are on sale online. There are well designed lab coats, fantastic shirts, even accessories and scrub hats. If only for these uniforms, I’d want to be a medical practicioner myself. 

Come to think of it, I used to drem of becoming a doctor or a nurse when i was just in high school. I like the way they help save lives and make sick people feel better again. I didn’t mind much the uniform coz back then, medical personnel always wore white. But today,  hospitals and clinics have become very colorful, all thanks to th wonderful scrub designs and colors that arenow made available in the market.

When we think of nurses’ scrubs, we usually think of women’s medical uniform. But male nurses are in need of good fitting, high quality, affordable medical uniforms as well. There was a time when I wanted to become a nurse, just because my husband took a caregiver course and his dad used to tell me that nurses will still be in demand a decade from now. But then I thought, I don’t wanna be caught wearing the same dull uniform, day in day out.

Crowd Control This Yuletide Season

We’re in the middle of November and before we know it, it’s already Christmas and New Year! As early as this month, events here and there have already started popping in the different parts of the metro. Malls are getting more crowded; concert scenes are at its peak; airports seem such a mess; people are just everywhere trying to get a piece of the Yuletide pie. It would surely be a total chaos almost everywhere if there is no proper crowd control, especially in both local and national events as well as fun parties people  usually attend at this time of the year.

It’s a good thing though that some of these event and crowd organizers use stanchions to contro the flow of the crowd. Just the other day, when I went to the bank, there are stanchions being stationed from the entrance all the way to the teller stations. Good for them! These stanchions teach people where the flow of traffic should be and they help keep people in line.

In a formal launch of a theater show I went to last weekend, I also saw a velvet rope to keep the media people from crossing the line that separates the celebrities from them. I say it’s a really good practice of crowd control.

Barricades like those I mentioned will help ease the flow of people traffic and make everything more organized and controlled. If  all crowd organizers will  use these things then I can guarantee you that we’ll all have a more peaceful and happy Christmas ahead all of us. Cheers!

The Tower on Tarot Card Reading

I have never been creeped out by a tarot card reading before. But when I drew The Tower twice, that did it for me.

You see, The Tower is a card that can convey chaos in one’s life. But it will still depend on the circumstances of the person drawing the card or to whom the reading is directed. One thing that struck me in this reading is its message about a change in fortune. It did not specify though whether it’s going to be a change for the good or the bad. But the way things are going in our finances right now, it may just be for the better. You see, last month was a trying month for us. Some money that we expected to come did not and this month, after I drew The Tower, finances are getting a little bit better. So I am hoping that it is for the best. Otherwise, all those money spells I cast at the start of this month would be for naught.
