Halloween Tarot Card Reading

During the Halloween, I did a couple of tarot card readings for some of my family and friends. But before all that, I did one for myself and I was pretty happy with the outcome. And did I mention that I read it on a full moon?

The cards and their meaning:

1-  Eight of Pentacles

“When this card appears in a layout, it signifies that now is the time to get on with it. Concentrate on getting the job done, whatever it is.  It may not necessarily be a practical job like the man chiselling away his coins but attend to your relationship, check the facts, read between the lines and give all your time to the task at hand. The more you persevere, the more  successful will be the outcome.”

This card signifies that I am currently dedicated to my jobs, displaying patient actions and painstaking attention to details, that even if my jobs could be repetitive and boring sometimes, my perseverance is paying off. It also indicates new training for a new skill in order to widen my knowledge. So true!

“Another interpretation of this card is that you have reached a level of proficiency where things have become a little too easy. You feel on top of it, but with that sense of achievement, you need something else to get your teeth into — a new project, a new relationship. Repetition and daily routines need to change so that you can shift into another gear. Time to add variety to your life so you don’t get bogged down in the same old thing. “

My jobs have in fact become too easy for me.  This is why I am planning for a new project that I can get my hands  on once the holiday season is over (and when I say over, I mean, after  New Year. Coz since Halloween arrived, I feel like I am on vacation mode and I will be for the next 2 months until the Yuletide season is over.) However, despite my “vacation mode”, I did change my schedule and my routine. Since my jobs have become rather easy for me,  I now have time to play with my toys (my Wii, PSP, drums, guitar, keyboards, read my books, watch DVD movies, etc.. ^_^

2 - Three of Cups

“This card represents the ability to widen our feelings, to give out  our joy and happiness to more than one person and to start to interact to small groups of people who will boost our own sense of happiness and spirit. As an ‘obstacle’ card, you might be spending so much time partying or indulging in social niceties that you haven’t been giving yourself enough individual time alone to sort out your priorities.”

It’s so amazing how this card is so right! I do have the ability to share my time, my joy, my happiness with others. In fact, last month alone, I’ve been so busy being with other people, going out of town, attending to social activities that I haven’t really had the time to just be. If I’m not socializing with others, I am busy working. And the rest of time is just spent relaxing that I haven’t really been able to sort out what is really important for me and my future. I do have plans… great plans in fact. But I always manage to push it farther down my list because of other so-called “important” things. This should really change. After the holidays, I should really start with my new plans.

3- Ten of Swords

“This card is one of the most powerful in the deck, but like all tens, this card indicates  the end of a cylce and the beginning of a new one. But before you can embark on a new journey,  you must liberate yourself from old patterns of behavior, drop emotional baggage and say goodbye to the old you. As a ‘past issue’ card that is still unresolved, it signifies the “No it’s fine, I don’t need anyone, I can do it alone attitude”. The power of the victim and martyr are equally chilling in their manifestation.”

I do have that kind of attitude. Considering the fact that I have always been an independent person since I was a little kid, I’ve always learned how to fend for myself. I rarely rely on other people to do stuff for me which is also why deep down inside, I aslo don’t appreciate when people ask huge favors from  me. It’s coz I think that if I can do stuff on my own, then they should too. I know it’s selfish and could be dangerous for me too. Take for instance what I did just a few days ago. This attitide of mine coupled with my OC tendencies, led me to fix the skull lantern I had set up on our roof for the Halloween. One night, it got blown off by the wind and the heavy rains. I didn’t want to wait for Peter and despite the rain, I got our ladder, went up there and fixed it. When I told Peter about it, he got mad. He said what if I got into an accident or something? I told him, I didn’t and that I can do it by myself coz I knew he doesn’t like doing stuff like that. We ended up having a small fight that night. So yeah, I guess I should really stop playing the martyr type. Sometimes, it’s better to ask people for help coz who knows, they might even be happy to help me. Same goes for other more important situations.

4- The Hierophant

“The most important lesson this card teaches is that, however much you may trust or stick to your beliefs, there are others who have their own too. As a ‘past obstacle’ card, it means that you may have had to battle with peer pressure, sharing a belief system, knowing how to act appropriately, conforming and holding back. It means that your inner spiritual soul needs expression.” 

I did have this kind of obstacle. I have very strong beliefs about life and how it should be lived and no matter what other people say, I always know that mine is more right. I am that stubborn. But I did manage to lessen this arrogance of mine. Though I may not cater to other people’s beliefs, I am now more open and accepting. Nevertheless, I don’t fear expressing my own principles through my actions.

5- Six of Cups

“This card indicates that your inner child is now at work and needs expression. Perhaps it is time to look back at good childhood memories, to remember how it was to play without all the fears, self-doubt and illusions that you now carry as an adult. This card implies that by giving out goodness around you, it will come back to you too. Enjoy feeling playful, and let this card remind you of relationships that  have enriched your life as well as those that have been painful. If you have unfinished business from the past, now is the time to put it aside and welcome fulfillment or true exchanges of love in your life.”

Recently, I have been rather playful and childlike. For a long time now, I have been looking at life more positively than before. In my own little ways, I have been spreading goodness to other people and I have always been thankful to people, things, events who/that have been blessings to me in my life. And whatever this unfinished business is, I am letting it go and looking forward to more fulfillment, happiness and great things. ^_^

In the first paragraph where it says “Think back to November 2008 and February 2009 - what was happening in your life back then?“, it did make me look back to what was happening in my life at that time. November 2008, Peter and I went to Siquijor to celebrate the Halloween but most importantly, for me to be able to do some soul searching because that was the time I was contemplating on resigning from my very lucrative VA job. True enough, when we came back to Manila, I sent my resignation letter and never looked back. That was the beginning of my carefree and lazy days.  Then Februray 2009 came, I started getting scared of the recession. It’s all I heard in the news and it was getting into  my nerves. So I woke up from my month long sleep and started looking for a job. That was the time I got shortlisted at Publicis and Jollibee  Corporation but in the end, I ended up turning them both down because neither suited the way I want to live my life.  And now, it says that Uranus energy brings innovation through instability. Sudden and unexpected events shake our foundations and force us to look at things in a new way.  True enough, since I got to know the business of First Vita Plus, it has opened my eyes to new possibilities. It has lowered my pride and made me see things more differently.  Now, I am more humble, more patient and innovative in enjoying the process of my success and I have become a lot happier than before. It’s just really bizzare how these astrology readings can be so accurate!

Mercury Retrograde…Again

Mercury, the planet of communication, goes retrograde — for the third time this year — in the sign of Libra on September 6-7 (depending upon your time zone), until it turns direct again on September 29. Mercury normally turns retrograde three times a year — however, in 2009 Mercury turns retrograde four different times. The effects of each retrograde period differ depending on the sign in which it occurs. This time around, Mercury is turning retrograde in Libra.

Mercury rules thinking and perception, processing and disseminating information and all means of communication, commerce, education and transportation. Mercury retrograde periods gives rise to personal misunderstandings, as well as flawed, disrupted, or delayed communications, negotiations and trade glitches and breakdowns with phones, computers, cars, buses and trains.

This retrograde, like any cosmic event, affects each of us differently depending on how it’s positioned in our personal birth charts. A Mercury retrograde period may be very prosperous for those who have retrograde Mercury, or a well-aspected Mercury in their birth charts. While a retrograde period may be an introspective time for all of us, if Libra is prominent in your chart, you will have more than your usual share of introspection. Excited for Halloween

Pardon my excitement but as early as September, I really start preparing for the upcoming Halloween season. Aside from putting up scary decorations around the house, I also plan my outfit for our Halloween party. For the past several years, I always dress up like a witch every time we attend or host a Halloween party. This year I want to try something new… perhaps I can start donning vampire costumes instead.  In my opinion, vampire costumes are a lot sexier and classy, I think. Plus, it will give me more reason to play my brand new CD of bat sound effects. Teehee.

Come to think onf it, I’ll most probably  change my entire theme for this year’s Halloween event.  It will be about vampires this time. Even my friends who are on the heavy side of the weighing scale must also wear their  chosen vampire costumes. We’ll watch vampire movies and drink bloody concoctions. We’ll color ourselves as pale as snow. I can already picture it all in my mind and I can’t wait!  Happy Halloween!

Pre-Halloween Preparation for Babies

I’m so excited! The “ber” months are now here and it just means two things — Halloween and Christmas! Between the two, I must admit that Halloween is at the top of my most favorite holidays list. There are just so many things I can do as a Wiccan! I can hold horror parties, do tarot card and palm readings, play with my Quija board, do enchantments and incantations and many more! The best thing is to celebrate it with a bang among my family and close friends. How awesome it would be if we’ll all don our respective costumes just like the previous years!

My nephew is now 1 year  and 3 months old. This year, he will be celebrating his second Halloween with us. He can now walk and is very lively and active. I can already picture him wearing baby costumes for our family Halloween celebration! He can either wear a cutesy little outfit like that of an angel or perhaps several cute little vampire baby costumes! I can’t wait!

There are just so many baby costumes to choose from —  there are animal costumes, insects, flowers, cartoon characters and many more!  I’m so happy I have enough time to think about it before finally deciding which outfit to buy. I’m sure our Halloween will be more special and fun-filled this year.

Longest Solar Eclipse This Century

Solar eclipses usually have a huge impact on every birth sign. I was wondering what it means for me, an Aquarian. When I consulted with my astrology guide, this was what if had for me:

			Overtime is definitely on the agenda, and lots of it. Cleaning up someone else’s mess is never fun — but the kudos will be nice. Oh, and the cash won’t hurt, either.

 

It’s just so amazing what happened to me yesterday. I know it’s nothing huge in magnitude but I did notice the little miracles in yesterday’s events.

Let me first give you a little background about my situation. I have been depressed and feeling sick since Saturday until Monday (July 4-6) to the point that I kept sleeping,  I was offline the whole time and if I’m not sleeping, I’m crying or spending most of my time inside the bathroom due to LBM.  I dunno if I contracted bacteria somewhere or if it’s because of emotional stress brought about by Michael Jackson’s death (my health history will tell you that every time I am severly stressed, my tummy always gets affected one way or the other). But I was weak, lethargic and very, very sad. It was all a terrible, terrible combination, especially for me who always tries to see the positive things in life. Then my husband got into a car accident, we couldn’t find the insurance papers and things seemed to just get worse from there. By Monday evening, I decided that this state of being is not good at all. So come Tuesday morning, after several hours of sleep, I decided to make things right again. I was still visiting the bathroom that morning and it made me think twice of whether to go to this VTR my agent asked me to or not. After taking a deep breath,  I told myself and believed it with all my heart that “I am well, I am lucky and I am attracting great things today and everyday.” And at that moment, I felt a little bit better. The bubbling/gurgling  sound inside my tummy seriously stopped!

Then I went off my way. For the first time since I started commuting again, I immediately got a tricycle the moment I went out of the house. This never happened before. I would always walk a good ten minutes or so before I reach the tricycle station outside our village. And yesterday a tricycle just happened to pass by and I rode it! Then I easily got in a bus and I was able to sit in front (not at the back like I always used to)! When I got to the VTR venue, the agent liked me that she invited me to go to another go-see in another location. Wow! She even asked me to come ride a cab with them. As soon as we got out of the bulilding, Cityland’s private shuttle passed by and asked the agent to ride with him. Before I could even think about what’s happening, we were already boarding the car. No cab fare for me. Weee! On the way home, I brought home free food from Figaro (a Tuscan Chicken and 3 cakes —2 sansrival and 1 chocolate),  I met & spent a little time with a former colleague  from GSIS who is now a lawyer, I immediately caught a bus ride home (I usually get stuck in Ayala for 30 mins. before I can even find a bus going to Alabang), I got home in time to do a bit of photoshoot, have dinner and start  my other work. The whole day in itself went by like a breeze, like everything and everyone involved was on scripted clockwork. I believe when one is aligned with the universe, things do work easily and very quickly. Coz that’s how the universe wants it. It wants to give us all things we want in the fastest, easiest way possible. And I’m just glad I decided to be its recipient of blessings yesterday and hopefully everyday thereafter.

Uranus is in Retrograde
